ISTMA member PtSA (the Production Technologies Association of South Africa) aims to promote, protect and support the collective interests of the Tool, Die, Mould and Special Machining industries (TDM) of South Africa, in order to support the growth and development of all manufacturing sectors. To achieve this mission, it utilises resources that include the PtSA wholly owned Project Management company and implementation agency, the various partnership agreements that are in place, PtSA training facilities in the four main regions, PtSA Trade Test Centres, PtSA corporate facilities and the regional executive committees.
At the same time, the PtSA-facilitated networking, matchmaking and information programmes are being reinforced by applying greater internal resources to these programmes, and strengthening of international linkages for members through the PtSA membership of the International Special Tooling and Machining Association (ISTMA). This includes linkages into Africa through the establishment of ISTMA Africa which is being facilitated by PtSA.
