Iran was formally approved as ISTMA member in December 2016. The Iranian Society of Tool Makers – ISTM, based in the city of Teheran, has become the newest ISTMA World member. ISTM has been formed in 1982 gathering the most important local toolmakers aiming professional support for toolmaking industry, sharing knowledge and experience, establish contacts and networking with international experts and the development of Mould and Die Sector in the country.
ISTM joins approximately 100 associated members and its current activities includes, among others, technological support to companies, industry promotional activities, networking, training activities and publication of books, articles and a specialized magazine.
