The Mexican Association of Manufacture of Molds and Dies (AMMMT), the most recent ISTMA member, released the "Molth Mex" App. This platform will show an inventory of capacities to registered companies, helping to identify manufacturers of molds, dies or tooling in Mexico or to know the origin of raw materials offered by suppliers that quote the project.
AMMMT President, Eduardo Medrano, refers that "Mold Mex is an advanced digital linking system specialized in molds and dies". Its information was collected by the Association through personal visits to companies. Buyers will be able to access from its smart phone or laptop information to find the right supplier.
According to Rene Mendonza, National Coordinator for the Supply Chain Industry in Mexico (CAPIM), also partner in this project, the objective is to integrate in a unique technological platform the supplier's availability in Mexico with respect to the mold, die and tooling industry.
The platform offers information about plant capacity, its machinery, products and services. Subscribers would be also able to check number of employees, software's used, steels origin among other information.
