Comprising several seminars, conferences and workshops, "Moulds Event 2018", lead attendees on analysis and discussions of technological and market trends affecting toolmaking industry worldwide. Challenges and opportunities towards the edification of an environment prone to innovativeness and development of new R&D projects or businesses were main topics in this year's edition.
Over 1.100 delegates from twelve countries attended the several initiatives promoted under the "Moulds Event" umbrella, including the ninth edition of the RPD – Rapid Product Development Conference, held on October 1 and 2, a privileged forum for the discussion of themes such as design for manufacturing, circular economy, next generation products or human centered manufacturing.
Foreseeing new calls for R&D and Innovation projects, within National, Regional and European programs, the Brokerage Event held on October 2, was instrumental in the establishment of international consortia towards the launch of R&D and Innovation projects, exploration of business opportunities and networking.
During the week several other Technical Seminars and Workshops took place in Oliveira de Azeméis and Marinha Grande gathering entrepreneurs, managers and senior technicians of companies.
The final day (October 4) was dedicated to the International Conference "Moldes Portugal 2018" a forum for reflection and debate on key trends and prospects for the sustainable development of the Tooling Industry worldwide hosted more than 250 attendees.
