Japan was formally approved as ISTMA member in December 2016. The Japanese Die & Mould Association – JaDMA based in the city of Tokyo with offices in Nagoya and Osaka has become the newest ISTMA member.
JaDMA has been formed in November 1957 aiming to support and contribute to the prosperity of the economy and raise the standard of living in the country by supporting development of the die and mold industry and related industries through conducting various operations on stamping die, plastic molds, die-casting molds, casting molds, forging die, rubber molds or glass molds.
Gathering 400 companies, JaDMA range of activities and services is focused on the representation of the Industry within official and governmental institutions and bringing toolmakers together to discuss and gather solutions to support the development of the Sector in Japan – cooperation, training, technology and management are some of the issues under discussion.
