ISTMA LAUNCHES THE 2025 EDITION OF THE ISTMA STATISTICAL YEARBOOK

ISTMA is pleased to announce the release of the 2025 edition of the ISTMA Statistical Yearbook, featuring the latest and most comprehensive data on international trade and manufacturing in the global Tooling Industry.

This new edition provides updated statistical insights supported by extensive graphical analysis and detailed numerical tables, offering a clear and accessible view of global trends affecting tools, dies, and moulds.

The 2025 Yearbook includes statistical indicators for 35 countries:
Austria, Brazil, Canada, Czechia, China, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Chinese Taipei, Turkey, USA and Vietnam.

As in previous editions, the Yearbook delivers an in-depth analysis of production, exports, imports, apparent market size, and unit value indices for the industry's most relevant product categories:

  • Injection and compression moulds for plastics
  • Mould tools for metal or metal carbides (excluding injection or compression types)
  • Tools for pressing, stamping, punching and forming (dies)

This analysis is based on the most recent international and national statistical sources, using the highest available level of detail from Combined Nomenclature (CN8), PRODCOM2, or equivalent classifications. Indicators covered include:
  • Production value (national currency, EUR, USD)
  • Production quantity in kg (unit prices)
  • Export and import values (national currency, EUR, USD)
  • Export and import quantities in kg (unit prices)
  • Apparent market consumption (national currency, EUR, USD)
