The Slovenian Tool and Die Development Centre
(TECOS) hosted a two-day professional visit for representatives of the Estonian
tooling industry (ESTA Group, Estonian Special Tooling Association). The visit
focused primarily on exchanging experience and exploring new networking and
cooperation opportunities between Estonian and Slovenian companies.
The programme provided the Estonian guests with
an insight into the work of SILIKO, DIFA and Bizjan Orodjarstvo, offering a
closer look at various manufacturing processes, including silicone product
manufacturing, aluminium die casting and plastic injection moulding tools.
Visits continued at Penca, Gorenje Orodjarna and TECOS.
While exploring the development centre's
capabilities, discussions focused particularly on future cooperation
opportunities in European and other R&D projects, as well as direct
company-to-company collaboration.
The meeting created valuable opportunities for
direct business contacts, knowledge and experience sharing, and, above all, new
ideas that could develop into concrete business and R&D partnerships.
ISTMA believes that strengthening relations and
facilitating the exchange of experiences between member countries, such as
Estonia and Slovenia, is essential to reinforce the cohesion, innovation and
competitiveness of the global tooling industry. Such initiatives demonstrate
the true value of our global network by promoting knowledge transfer and
cooperation on projects, while creating new business opportunities that drive
the entire sector forward.
