Taking place in co-operation with the Danish presidency of the Council of the European Union,
this is the second in a series of conference that occur bi-annually - the first
conference having taken place in Brussels (2010).
The theme of the conference is 'integrating nano, materials and
production'.
Some of the key questions that will be discussed:
- What are the most significant barriers to innovation, and how can these
be overcome?
- Which are the success stories of NMP under FP7, especially projects that
have combined breakthrough technological innovation with significant industrial
impact?
- The identification of innovative solutions to unfavourable framework
conditions which acutely affect industrial technologies, including access to funding,
market fragmentation, and regulation.
Three conference plenaries with high profile speakers will occur during the
conference with an additional 18 sessions, featuring 70 speakers, also taking
place.
Networking will be a central part of this conference, a full matchmaking day will be
held on Thursday, 21st. Interested participants will create profiles in
advance, identify who they would like to meet and book a face-to-face meeting.
A number of site visits to local companies and research institutes will also
