SEOUL HOSTED ISTMA BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING

The city of Seoul in Korea, on the 16th of March, hosted at Sofitel Ambassador Hotel the first ISTMA Board of Directors meeting in 2009. Representatives from FADMA/ISTMA Asia, ISTMA Americas and ISTMA Europe have been present on the meeting chaired by ISTMA President, Joaquim Menezes.

During the meeting was officially released the 2007 ISTMA Statistics Yearbook. This new edition of ISTMA Statistics presents a new philosophy and methodology in the collection of official international commerce and governmental statistics in the tooling industry.

This ISTMA Statistics Yearbook will be released every year, at the end of its first quarter, including information related with the previous year. Work to collect similar information from 2008 is in progress and the 2008 Statistics Yearbook will be released during next semester.

Mr. Les Payne from CTMA (Canada) also attended the meeting to inform about new developments in the organization of ISTMA Conference, to be held in Windsor, Canada, in June 2010.

Next BoD meeting is already scheduled for Chicago, USA, on June 25^th during NPE show.
