2008 ISTMA MEMBERS ASSEMBLY: Gauteng
Provincial Government is sponsoring the 2008 ISTMA Annual Assembly, next
29th June / 2nd July, in Johannesburg. TASA, the South Africa association,
will host the event.
There is no fee for participation in the meetings, but delegates are expected
to register for logistic purposes, using the on line form available in
ISTMA webpage (www.istma.org).
Local costs of the meeting are covered by Gauteng Provincial Government
sponsoring (eventual visits to Kruger National Park not included).
Hotel reservations can be done through the on line registration form.
Information about three hotels that are at walking distance from Sandton
Convention Centre, where meetings will happen, are available in the ISTMA
webpage as well as in the attached brochure. There are special prices
for ISTMA delegates.
This is the first ISTMA meeting in an African country. After the ISTMA
meetings (on 30th June), an important seminar is being organized by TASA
and will give ISTMA delegates an opportunity to discuss tooling business
and the African realities and to contact and to network with African companies
and organizations. Program will be available in the ISTMA website.

NEW ISTMA GLOBAL PARTNER: Sandvik Coromant
(www.coromant.sandvik.com),
a leading supplier of cutting tools for tooling industries operating in
more than 60 countries, based in Sweden, is joining the ISTMA Global Partner
program. "This is an excellent opportunity to provide the global
tool & die industry with know-how within metal cutting", Mr Per
Forsell, from Sandvik Coromant, commented.
The announcement has been made in the Sandvik Coromant Die & Mould
Application Centre, in Shanghai (China), during the 2008 Die and Mould
China Exhibition. ISTMA general manager and Mr Per Forsell, manager of
Application Management Die & Mould at AB Sandvik Coromant, made the

REGIONAL BRANCHES MEETINGS:
- ISTMA Asia / Fadma met in Shangai (China), hosted by CDMIA, last 11th
to 13th May 2008. Information is available in ISTMA website. Next meeting
(2009) will be in Seoul (Korea), hosted by KODMIC.
- ISTMA Europe met in Zurich (Switzerland), hosted by Swissmem, last 20th
to 22th April 2008. Information is available in ISTMA website. Next meeting
(second half 2008) will be in Barcelone (Spain), hosted by FEAMM.
"eSHOP" is now operational in ISTMA website.
First products available are training materials from NTMA (USA). Publications
from affiliated associations will be available for selling through internet
and distributed in digital formats. Have a look!
