The 2009 ISTMA Annual Meeting will take place in Chicago, USA, on June 25th. This meeting is organized by ISTMA Board of Directors (BoD) having in mind the NPE Show as a quite interesting international common point of interest for Members and taking advantage of the participation as exhibitor or visitor at the show from several Member Associations and its representatives.

The success of “2007 ISTMA Statistical Year Book” is confirmed by the release of its second edition. This book includes statistical information about international trade and manufacturing on Tools, Dies and Moulds in 2007. In this edition, the Year Book uses extensive graphical presentation as a prevailing support. More than 550 figures on 239 pages (size A5) are accessible in order to fully describe product and country industrial tooling dynamics in long time-series – one decade – presentations.

Organized by the ISTMA Europe Federation, in close cooperation with the European Platform ManuFuture, and coinciding with the Italian Presidency of the European Association, Milan will stage the second European Tooling Forum which will take place on September 25th.

Poland was formally approved as ISTMA member during the last ISTMA Europe meeting held in Bursa, Turkey. Representatives from STTS – Polish National Association were present at the meeting and made a brief introduction to the toolmaking industry in their country.

Representatives from 11 European countries (Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and Turkey) gathered in Bursa - Turkey on the 7th and 8th of May at a meeting of the European branch of the International Special Tooling & Machining Association.

The 2007 ISTMA Statistics Year Book was officially released during FADMA / ISTMA Asia meeting held on March 17th in Seoul, Korea. This new edition of ISTMA Statistics presents a new philosophy and methodology in the collection of official international commerce and governmental statistics.
